Put the key in the hole in the door and turn it a quarter turn to the left :rolleyes:

Yeah i have tried unclocking the door with the key and your right the alarm does just go off.

No i havent resynced the fob, how do i do this??

I am going to buy a new battery tomorrow so will do it then.

Is there a specific way i have to sync the key?

Cheers

On mine you replace the battery and click the unlock 4 times and the indicators flash and it then works again.

Hope that helps

If no joy try unlocking using your EKA code which should be on a sticker in your handbbok in your glove box.

The code is 4 digits and you enter them by turning your key in the lock either to the left or right so many times... waiting 5 mins and then opening door and starting engine within 30 seconds.

Instructions here.
Land Rover EKA Code

Due to the 'rolling code' method of security it's the lock button that is pressed to resync the fob, so unlock first using the key press the button nothing happens for the first three presses and on the fourth the doors lock.
All the info is in the owners handbook.

I tried last night to do the EKA code and trying to resync the fobs neither of these worked,

With the EKA code when doing it do I go fully round to unlock or just before the door unlocks?

If neither or these work what is my next option? Do I need to take it to a main dealer or landrover specialist?

Could it be the sensors in the car that have become faulty because it very weird both fobs stopped working at the same time!

Cheers for all your help!

Does your car have sunroofs and have they ever leaked, to your knowledge?

There is a remote central-locking receiver, between the headlining and the roof just forward of the rear sunroof. These can go faulty and need replacing.

I haven't got sunroofs. But will the recievers still be there sunroof or not? Is it something I can change myself? I feel I am relativly good with car electrics.

Where would I get the recievers from?

Thanks for your advise!

If you have no sunroofs then I'm not that sure the receiver will be your problem.

Normally what happens is rear sunroof leaks and soaks the receiver, which bûggers it up.

Also, if you have no sunroofs, then you have no easy access to where they are normally installed, so I would suggest the problems is elsewhere.

You have been given some incorrect info so don't worry, D1s don't have a receiver above the headling that's a D2 thing.
Your security system is one unit located behind the glove box.

I assume u have checked that the 10amp fuse for the alarm system is ok it's fuse no.5 in the satellite1 row of fuses in the main fuse box.

Hiya, ok thank you that's good to know.
I haven't checked the fuses yet, I have the day off on monday so am going to figure out what is wrong with it.

Do you think it sounds like the fuse possibly then. I haven't had time to look it over yet, I have replaced both fob batterys and they still don't work.

Is the reciever for the fobs behind the glove box in the D1's then?

Thanks for your advice its all needed! :)
