Landie Virgin!

Alright Everone, I'm a Landie Virgin. Bought a 98' Freelander 1.8 XEI 5 door the other day. The car will be my daily driver as my Nissan 350Z only comes out when it's nice. My ZX6R Ninja comes out when it's even nicer!

Anyway, I hope to browse the forums and get some advice as and when I need it!

My dad has an '05(??) Range Rover Vogue as his daily driver so when things go wrong with that I'll be on the case!

I'm based in Aberdeenshire in Scotland.

One thing for sure the Rangie would cost a hell of a lot more to fix!

Got the 'gaylander' cheap so I'm expecting a few issues! It'll do the job I'm sure!

I'll use it until it breaks or I can afford a Defender with a big snorkel!

Hi scottishstew. Welcome to the loony zone.
You would be better off using the nissan 350z as yer daily driver and only bringing yer freelander out when it's nice. They're allergic to water.

You might have bought the bugger cheap but it'll cost you a fortune to keep it.

I hope for your sake I am wrong.

Ha ha! Luckily I only work 7 days then get 7 off! 7 days off I see are going to be spent shouting and swearing at the freelander!

All part of the fun I guess, I just hope it lasts long enogh to get me hooked then I can see what other landie I can buy to bankrupt me and make me bald!

I wish. The more toys you have, the more drains on your pocket! Oh, wheres the fun in going to the dealers! The robbing b**gers nick all your money and don't even clean the car properly! Rather get stuck in myself and try to learn something!
