Hi I have a 64 plate Landrover Freelander 2 with 64000 miles on it.
Just yesterday and now today it has started to not start properly on first turnover , we take key out and put it back in and takes about 3 attempts for it to start, it just makes a clicking noise but all lights come on even entertainment system. Any ideas on what it can be please? We have used a different key but still the same.
Thanks

AS above how old is your battery, also check the battery leads for tightness, is it a diesel or petrol car you have ?

Thanks, new battery put on but still the same, it makes the click noise a couple of times but then starts ok?
Possibly starter motor maybe?
Thanks

Petrol ort Diesel ? yes it could be the solenoids on the starter motor, if it has the same starter as the FL2 2007 -2010 them parts are only £14 and about 45 minutes work to remove the starter and replace contacts and plunger, then refit not an hard job for a good DIY but would cost a lot more at a garage I would presume.
