Hi all, i have a problem with the turbo on my land rover discovery td5 series 2. The turbo has been checked over and is all fine but it didn't feel like it was spooling up, basically it lacked power.
Is there a sensor which controls the flow somehow or would it be a problem with the actuator? perhaps it's not boosting properly?

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks.

It's an odd one but i went through the same thing replaced all the pipework after finding a pipe had split to the intercooler and still having poor boost although I could hear the turbo spooling. I decided to check the intake pipes from the airbox throught to the MAF etc. ...... (clearly should have been a first step anyway but split pipe found and assumed was just this)

......I found aother problem in the airbox where the air filter had been broken into two, under boost it was being sucked up and blocked the pipework preventing air intake. so check for any restrictions, also check the actuator pipework and all related pressure pipes. the slightest leak will kill turbo spool / pressure.

I also had to clean the air flow sensor grills as so much rubbish had been caught in them.
