Hi all got a Range Rover L405
The original rack failed when it was parked up started it up and instantly now steering it had been parked for 2 weeks, so we got a replacement complete with motor-rack-rack ends-track rod ends. So we fitted not a bad job, but we still don’t have power assisted steering I have the autel plugged in and the only code I am getting is U3001-00: Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) system improper shutdown. I have tried clearing but won’t clear, I have rest the rack end stops and colum calibration bet still no joy, I have just put a new battery on yesterday as well as the autel stoped twice to low battery voltage and this can be accounted to the fault I have also checked all the earth leads and earth points and battery connections

any light on this subject would be great

I'd check for the fuses and then search for the pscm and look for damp or any burnt or even chewed connections. ;)
Have you tried the calibration sequences along with the fresh battery? :)
