Hi there,

I'm thinking about doing some enhancements to my L405 SDV6 and wondered what sort of tuning and modifying tweaks you guys would recommend?

looks like range rover made a lot of things out of cheese, was there a cheese mounting in eu at one point?
It was hidden behind the butter mountain tenor (1).gif

I would keep it standard on the engine tuning front and make sure quality oils are used in every service.
It's a 10.000€ engine in a box here in France. Check the gearbox history and get it serviced. It's not sealed for life matey.

It's lovey car but I wouldn't like to own one. I fix cars all day long.. And some of the 2.7tdv6 and 3.0tdv6 vatients are a cash demand on many levels. ;)

Uprated suspension components - like uprated front and rear struts and airbags, rear wishbones, ARBs, uprated bushes etc

lol, uprated to what? For what purpose? What are you trying to do? Make it better off road, compete in a Baja 1000 or slam it and take it to the Nurburgring?

Alan’s just as bad he has a bright orange uprated MAP pipe

Uprated can mean anything. Is uprated to cheap and nasty better? For someone cheap it is. There’s a reason OE generally lasts so long and is considerably more expensive.
My adaptations are from necessity rather than the sake of it, there’s pros and cons to everything.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, or fix it til it is.
Choice is yours but enjoy it, that way the tears aren’t shed for nothing.

Not yet I don't.;):D

@Pieman2

I would have to ask why? really.
If you want more ompfhh trade it for the V8.
If you want a car to play with buy a fender and the world is your oyster, or a little sports car, what do you actually want you haven't said:confused:.

Any possible enhancements you'd recommend on the suspension side of things?
What exactly are you trying to do?
Are you looking to make a boy racer version of a 3tonne, off road capable, luxurious, prestige, vehicle. Already at the top of it's game, despite some reliability issues? Which you will roll down the windows put on your shades , and crawl around the town, hoping folks will like your chrome and brightly coloured parts?**
** they won't , they will think you're a d1ck , same as they think of all boy racers.
Or are you going on a major trek, and looking for, so expensive it will make your eyes bleed, uprated parts? If so there are companies that do this stuff, but prepare to touch your toes.
Or....... do you just want to know which make of brakes/bags/arms we use on ours and think are worth it , considering that it is 3t of vehicle.
If you tell us which of those you are trying to do, you might get more specific answers.
