L322 Vogue flashing light -phone ??

Good morning my friends.

I have recently purchased a fab l322 autobiography. I notice on the top right corner of the sat nav display area, there are three lights, one of which flashes all the time. I dont used the phone, and this light remains on whether the phone (supplied) is on or off. (I dont need the phone at all but it sits in the holder in the centre consol)

I have read the instructions from cover to cover and cannot fathom out whether I can turn this off or whether it should flash.??

Please help.

Don't know about this but is the phone cordless? Maybe it's telling you the batteries are flat. Or duff.

I've tried leaving the phone on, and the batteries seem to charge to full ok.
and I've tried turning the phone off.

I wondered if it was the 'lack of sim' that was making the red light come on, hence my efforts to turn off the phone altogether. Light wont go out.

According to this post it's the lack of SIM card which is causing the problem

You can get a pay-as-you-go SIM from O2 for free. It might be worth trying one of these (without putting any money on it) to see if it will stop you flashing!!

He's been flashing, dirty bugger no need for that, just because the phone don't work.

i put an 02 sim in and it worked for a while now it comes up unable to connect to server!
I think its because its on an old BT cellnet service (which is now 02) and the frequency has changed (so some techie told me??!!).
Not sure if there is an upgrade for it as the original cars dont have the option of blue tooth for the modern phone.
