L322, suspension stuck in low mode/access mode

Evening all,
2006 model,
Have had a search but..... Everything has been great, came home last weekend pressed access mode all fine, left for a week, just been out started her up let everything warm up as normal, turned suspension height switch to raise to normal setting and the light on the left flashed twice and stopped but the suspension didn't raise, tried again but still the same, seems to be stuck in low mode ?

Any ideas,

Well, after writing the above post I got out all the handbooks, quick flick through but nothing as to what would be wrong, went back outside to have a look at the axle view on the touch screen, started her up and turned the suspension switch just in the off chance it went up and guess what "it went up" and now seems to work fine, took her round the block and yes all seems ok, goes in to access mode and back to normal mode like there was never anything wrong.

Question - leaving her in access mode all week could she have stuck in that position ? Doesn't seem likely but is it ?

Unless you're a short-arse, no need to put in access when stopped....few of us do so, for a couple of reasons....

a) No need....

b) Only makes the system work more than it really needs too....

Hi Saint, thanks,

The main reason I put it in to access mode is because I was told that if it's stood for a while in normal mode the computers don't fully go to sleep as it will always be monitoring and trying to keep it level, where as if you put it in to access mode when stood the computers will "go to sleep" and won't keep waking up to check the level if I.e. The wind blows or the car moves ?? And this will help the battery not to go flat while stood for a couple of weeks or so.

Never heard that one....yes the car wakes every few hours to re-level itself...but I have never known this to cause battery drain on the L322.....

Also in Access mode, the vehicle isn't 'right down' it is still above the bump stops, and will still re-level itself accordingly!

The other reason why I was advised to do this was that it helps with getting moister out of the compressor and system rather than just leaving it in normal mode as it would very rarely get used other wise for normal driving conditions.

Ok, thanks, think i should just use and enjoy it and not over think things and cross the bridges as and when something happens.

From the first post above would it of been possible for it to have stuck I.e. A level sensor or something to just of been stuck ?
 
These things do gimp out from time to time, there are 4 height sensors working independently and collectively if that makes sense, the only thing I could think is if the access mode switch was a bit sticky and was telling the suspension to stay in low otherwise the raise request would have signalled the reservoir to supply air to the 4 air springs until it reached the correct height and if that took too long it would fault out or sit there with the orange light flashing and the compressor running until that overheated
