Hi all

No surprise, the pixels on my speedo have gone!

I've found a new set of clocks at reasonable price- is it a simple plug and go or do the clocks need programming to the car?

Also will the mileage stay the same or will do the clocks store their own mileage? Cheers

need programming i think. not a simple plug in jobby.

better off getting yours repaired. around £150 i think

As with most things on the L322...it will need to be coded to the car....the Instrument Panel is the diagnostic gateway to the rest of the vehicle and stores things in its little brain that are vehicle specific and dependant....replacement procedure is usually to read your original IP then rewrite this to the new IP....it is more than just a dash display, it is integral to the diagnostic buses and vehicle communications!

I can attach a document detailing the various information buses on these things if you want a boring read before bed!! (if I can find it that is)

Nothing on BMW derived vehicles is easy!
