L322 SE/HSE Satnav upgrade

If any member is looking to upgrade the original radio/cd unit, I have fitted a Dynavin E39 Head unit into my 2003 TD6 SE, The unit is exactly the same width/height as the original unit, but the cage has to be trimmed for the unit to fit. The wiring connectors are all for a BMW E39, but so are the L322 connectors on the 2002 - 2005 model & you get 2 wirinng looms depending on the age of the E39 the newer loom fits the L322. The installations instructions were pretty basic, the only issue I had was connecting the Canbus controller lead to the head unit, which has to be pluggged into the "IR IN" female socket & the steering wheel controls work perfectly. So there is no lead cutting or splicing, easy weekend job, budget on 6 hours, not rushing. I learned on how to take the dashboard apart from Powerful uk who sells on Ebay, but you can view all his video on You Tube, They show how to fit another Satnav but this model is really for BMW X5 E53 model, so wont sit flush like the Dynavin unit. The only differnce to my install is I placed the Sat Nav Puck on the left hand side off the dashboard by the tax disk, it look neater & works perfectly.
