Anyone know where the water on the rear wash/wipe is supposed to come out? When i push the stalk on the steering column i can hear the washer pump but no water appears. I have had a look around the rear wiper stalk but i cant even see where the water is suppose to come out from????
 
it comes out under the spoiler on the wiper arm you will need to remove the window surround trims to remove the spoiler then remove the cap and blow it out or replace it with a new one very coman problem
 
Had this prob on mine. Open the boot lid. on the inside of the lid are th scres that hold the boot lid trim on (the bit with brake light in) Once this is lifted off, you can get to the hose and other bits and pieces. The hose had popped off on mine... If its just a blocked nozzle, blip the rear wiper, than when it gets halfway (wiper in vertical position) turn the ignition off. This should give easy access to nozzle. Use a needle /pin to unblock it.

Just repaired mine so no doubt you have the same issues. Take the covers off inside , disconnect electrics and remove outside wiper cover bolts x4, wiper itself 1 x nut and now the whole wiper motor will remove with 3 x bolts and all will become obvious. Its dead easy to split and you will soon find out whats stopping the water flow - good luck Gary
 
Ok - prepared to have the mickey taken here.....how do I remove the rear trim panel over the rear wash wipe motor? I've looked all round it and can see no screws - I don't want to 'pull' at bits in case they are brittle and smash.... help?
 
Ok - so it was easier than I thought lots of plastic and metal clips - one cheap one way valve from halfords - bit of thin wire with lots of poking and a working rear wash wipe - :)

I just sorted my rear washer. Remove the interior panel over the motor, pull off the water pipe and test the wash wipe. Still no water so removed the one way valve, retest and water shooting out. Dismantled the one way valve carefully by depressing the two plastic tabs and removing the rubber Hemilich valve thingy and cleaned then was obvious that the two small holes on the outside of the inner sleeve were blocked with sludge (easier to see for real then describe but its all pretty obvious), put everything back together and works perfectly.

As an aside my father who was a vehicle evaluation enginner for rover and landrover when testing in cold climates such as Minnesota said they would routinely remove the one way valves so that the wash solution would sink back to the reservoir and be less likely to freeze. Obviously you then have to wait for the pump to fill the pipes all the while watching your rear wiper scrape the dirt across the glass behind! Not ideal.

Just have to remove both bumpers to sort the parking sensors and have a chat to the reversing camera so see why it sulks so much and only works one in twenty times or so.

Very useful info, meant I avoided taking my RRFF down to the dealer to get my windscreen wiper unclogged. Did it myself by following the good advice of stopping it half way across the screen and then putting a pin into both holes where the water comes out. Lovely!
 
Oooo, nice one, I need to do mine, I think the non return valve has given up, as my water does work but I have to pump it through abou t 3 times before it actually gets to the rear screen

you dont have to remove the bumpers to get the parking sensors out (except the two in the middle of the front bumper) the rear ones you can push out from behind (strong fingers required though!) and the front side ones can be pushed out by pulling back the wheel arch liner.spray the outside with wd 40 first to ease it a little

Will need to remove bumpers if the wiring is damaged like usually
 
true but if its just to swap a sensor theres no need and they are also a common failure. you can also get to the first 6inches of wiring on each sensor through the hole
