hi bought this 4x4 5 weeks ago, eveything was fine... untill

the water pump seized, and the belt came of (did not snap)

so we had fitted by a mechanic. then a pipe behing the engine burst.. and now there rad top hose is building pressure. we have had a new thermostat now as well. but still no look. we have added blue coolant.

has any had this happen to them before? if so pls reply.. as i cant afford to keep paying these mechanics.. as they are now suggesting a new engine..

but car dont overheat??

Head gasket has gone

I had exactly the same with my TD5. I changed ALL the hoses, thermostat, flushed every part of the coolant system and it still did it. I did 2000 miles with no overheating but still overpressurising. It kept blowing the pressure release on the expansion cap and on one occasion (the final straw) my newtop hose. I eventually admitted to myself that I was in denial and that the Head gasket was blown. I did the headgasket and it's been fine since.

yee haa my l322 has started blowing water hoses and again it does not over heat
new rad ,thermostat ,and still its getting stupid amounts of pressure
my range rover man reckons around 2 grand to have the head gaskets done,as phil collins sung im in to deep, can anyone offer advice please.
mmany thanks

Yip my wife's 4.4 l322 has just done the same thing yesterday cant wait, I have replaced expansion tank, radiator, and the back engine hose burst as well, but we still love them.
