Hi there ianb4310, All i will say on that one is you need very deep pockets when they go wrong service history or not brill cars to run on lpg o2 vogue

save up for a facelift (2006 onwards) TDV8 - from what i hear there amazing.

you wont get a decent td6 for 7.5K - best keep saving

Got my '03 V8 Vogue on LPG for around that price....great car but as with all s/h purchases, you pays yer money - you takes yer chance....

As per Hippo, save a bit more and get a post 2006 TDV8....

Don't get me wrong there are good ones but there are more bad ones out there (like the P38's) so if you go for one, look at loads and test everything - don't go for a quick drive - I took mine out for nearly 2 hours, luckily I was alone so I could find alsorts of different road types to test it on and then a quiet road and parked - bonnet up, boot floor up, Crawled under it, over it, pushed everything, pulled everything, pressed everything....acoustic cover off, oil filter out, air filter out, levels checked....All nocks and crannys checked.....

They are a complex beastie so choose wisely....

L322 definitely worth it. Make sure you get full history etc and even at highish miles, 10k or just under should get you a good one

Deffo go for the TD6 rather than the v8 petrol, if you are driving it a lot...unless you can get an lpg converted v8 that is (although they can be more expensive to purchase).

The best ones are the 06 TDV8s, but they are obviously more expensive to buy and may be in the high road tax bracket (i.e. £450 plus per year to tax as opposed to £270 per year).

I got my 54 reg TD6 (which has the updated touch screen satnav and a few extra bits 'n bobs) for £8500, it has got 150k on the clock but has a full service history from reputable garages (checked them all myself!), and I have had a full service done and gearbox oil and filter changed.

Best advice...take your time, look carefully and you will find what you want, at the price you can afford.

Saying that, you can find some HSE's like mine that's the same spec as a vogue but at a nice reduction in price as apposed to a vogue would be

Just be carefull as there are some real basic spec ones out there :S

Thanks guts for great advice I think I'll go and have a look at a few get a general picture like the sound of the 4.4 LPG ;-)

L322 is wellworth it, but they can be pricey if they go wrong. As everyone has already said be careful when buying as there are some real dogs out there. £7.5k is very close to the bottom of the market so amybe worth hoding off until you have a little more

Spend £4K on a decent late P38 diesel and you will have £3.5K spare to fix it. Spend the lot on an early L322 and it may well bankrupt you.

L322 is a far better RR than the P38. Both A L322 and a P38 can bankrupt you, but if you compare the 2 you will always be dissapointed by the P38

Why spend half your money on a P38 (and the other half repairing it) when you can spend all your money on a good L322 and enjoy it!!

So true !

Why spend money keeping a shed on the road ? I'd rather spend more money keeping an L322 going !

At least an l322 will keep up with the times, the problem is the p38 looks very dated to today's standards now and as seen with recent "underpigeon" postings, they don't tend to look too great when owners attempt to update them :)

We all have our own opinions at the end of the day ;)

That's the thing with an L322, even for an 02 model you can put a private plate on it and it looks modern, and stylish!!

Since I've got mine, I've seen the envious looks from other drivers and you certainly get a good feeling from driving a Range Rover!! There's no feeling comes close!!
