Really strange fault with the nearside headlight wiper / washer.
The wiper on this side doesn't work but the offside one is ok. I think that means the the fuse is ok and the BCU is sending a signal ok. So I got a replacement which also doesn't work.
I made up a jumper loom between the car and nearside wiper motor which has 4 wires
By disconnecting the BCU trigger (black / brown on C1340-1) from the car I can manually trigger the wipe & wash on that side without needing the BCU t do it.
Long and short is that with the fourth (black / yellow) wire on pin C1340-4 (which signals the washer motor to run), disconnected, the wiper works ok and also lights a test lamp on the washer output.
But when I connect the washer wire neither the wiper or washer work
I've checked the washer pump and it pumps ok
So I've introduced a relay to switch the pump supply (black / yellow) and the wiper and washer work ok now
Anyone come across this before?
