Thanks.have bled from that valve but when put psi reader onto it I got no reading on gauge. Only got a small trickle of fuel coming out when pressed valve with ignition on then stops. So I'm going to change in tank fuel pump.

hi

did u take the reading whilst cranking the engine

has the fuel filter been changed , if not make sure u fit a genuine or quality oem one

also did it run ok before replacing the injectors plse and what made u change them, did u do an offset test on them using diagnostics and what was the readings plse

have u done an ohms test on each injector plse

plus hope the link helps

Which pump are you bleeding/checking?
The engine fuel pump or the tank pump?

hi mate

that shrieder valve when the engine is cranked or running checks the low side of the system before the HPFP

Included the link above for the op so he can go through the entire system step by step

but haven’t seen any mention ref the fuel filter being replaced

Thanks @gstuart, I wonder if the intank pump has been the cause from the start? Pretty naff coincidence if it's failed aswell as the injectors.... A new fuel filter is must to protect the new injectors.

ur so welcome mate

alas over the 4 x years I’ve owned mine have learnt a lot , found that I’ve had to step back a few times when a fault has happened and learnt to take it one step at a time

diagnostics and multimeter has been my best friend as I wouldn’t have stood a chance otherwise

indeed ref the fuel filter and know they don’t like cheap filters

hopefully the op will go through that link and can then see what’s wrong

my concern is if it ran ok before fitting new injectors, why they were changed and if there the correct ones as in 2007 the HPFP runs at a higher pressure which will cause all sorts of issues with the earlier EU3 injectors as the HPFP runs at a lower pressure on the EU3

hopefully the intake fuel pump is ok as the tank needs to come out and will cost around £400 , gulp

Now we can see why a lot these great machines end up being sold with hidden problems...

Ain’t that the truth , when I bought mine as a project every time I touched something there was another can of worms inside another can of worms, lol

You like worms then? :p
Your not a fish are you? o_O
Complicated machines require more involved repairs that will test patience and skills!!

lol, suspension would work and ended up tearing everything apart, there where more leaks that a sieve

so made up some valves , test equipment , etc so could test each air line one by one by a vacuum and at the end of the day I had to replace , compressor , front struts , 3 x valves blocks , but my god the difference in drive quality was like night and day but taught me step by step and not going off on a tangent

Don’t get me started on airbag systems , as that involved head liner coming out, lol

lol, I’ll get my coat and tools ;)

me being a sad old git I really enjoyed things like this, only took me a couple of months to trace a single wire that was broken causing a battery drain , hidden under the electric seat ecu

also had to replace several curtain airbags that had been cut out , seat air bag, pre tensioner

Maybe it’s come from when I useto diagnose boilers, heating systems in how I enjoy tracing faults and then finally watching the airbag light to go out

yeh i know , pics or it didn’t happen, lol

At the end if the day I paid peanuts for it as the guy just wanted shot of it , so at least still has value in the disco

I would seriously buy a car from you...
If I lived in England.

ah shucks, thk u

I always just make sure everything is done properly , took me nearly a year to sort out the bodges , insulation tape everywhere and those bloody horrible scotchlocks, so had to rip a lot out and build some new looms because they hacked into it so much

will try and keep this as I’ve done so much work to it , just need to replace the brake hoses so then the entire suspension system will all be finished

also pleased the dashboard is all done, gauges D4 steering wheel and spot the 3.5mm aux socket I fitted , tried to blend it into the dashboard

oops I’m gassing again by posting in someone else threads, my bad, lol
