Just tried to start my 2.7tdv6 after putting in 2 injectors.turns over wanting to start but wont .have checked voltage on injector plug.im getting 0.74 with just ignition on but when cranking the voltage is only reading around 5 to 6 volts.have heared this should be 12v is this why car wont start and what could be causing this .any help appreciated guys.

How did it run before the injectors were changed?
Have you bled all the injectors?
If you go back over everything you may have disconnected and double check your work ;)

Some injector faults, if any can cause a non start situation, some engines won't start if a pressure rail sensor or Injector plugs have been removed while cranking. Do you have any means of reading any codes kiddo? ;)

I may be dreaming, (quite likely these days) but I thought that new injectors had to be coded to the engine with diagnostics?

Pretty much most engines now, à 16 digit code that relates solely to that injector and it build. A lot of earlier Ford/citroen/Peugeot engines have to be coded. The 2.7tdi is a variant of the 3.0hdi unit if I'm right? With a good diag suite you should be able to tell if there any previously stored injector codes. Injectors will run but need to be coded to run efficiently. ;)

Have also read low pressure fuel pump faulty can also cause this fault code to come up.

hi

did u bleed the system via the shrieder valve at the back of the engine , also the Injectors on these don’t need coding

here’s an extensive write up how to go through the system

hope that helps

Ps, also make sure the injectors are correct as they are different between the EU3 and EU4 engines , urs being a 2006 should be a EU 3

Thanks.have bled from that valve but when put psi reader onto it I got no reading on gauge. Only got a small trickle of fuel coming out when pressed valve with ignition on then stops. So I'm going to change in tank fuel pump.
