Successful day on Sunday - killed the front diff (I know it was on it's way out, oops) so took the front prop shaft off and carried on. Ten minutes later did the back one as well. Bugger.

Back one's got an ARB locker in, which still works fine, however the prop shaft turns with diff lock but there's no drive at all.

Need to get both diffs off so I can go get them fixed. Any advice on what to expect, what to take off or leave on, consumables such as gaskets and oil etc etc etc......?

If the ARB is OK then the rear problem will be a broken half shaft.
So you disconnected the front drive, carried on off-roading with an ARB equipped rear axle.......and you wonder why your rear half-shaft promply snapped. Hmmmmmmm.

The half shafts are both fine - with the air locker engaged both wheels are still locked together and one wheel would still turn... Neither are though so unless it's both of them (which I hadn't actually though of) then it's got to be somewhere else.

front prop removed so all the power is going straight to the back not a good idea to carry on playing,i would have driven straight home while i had drive..if the props turning and you have no drive to wheels it will only be

1..half shaft snapped
2..centre pinion in diff snapped.

have you removed the half shafts and looked?
tis only a ten min job

fronts not quite so easy you gotta remove calipur and hub assembly to get the shafts out
