Kingpin Tyres?

Hello,

What do you think of Kingpin tyres? I've been told not to touch them with a barge pole because the tread will likely come straight off and they're terribly made but 205x80 for £28!? Very tempting.

Has anybody ever had them, what are they like?

I've just read that! I am on the verge of ordering but need to hear from more people who have ever had them fitted! I've got colways on atm, so they should be about the same standard do you not think?

i have just read it too - an as Yella seemed to think he was gonna fit them on his Series - an we all know he has Kumho KL71's fitted - it might be best to pm him and see wot he has to say on the subject. I am sure he will have SUMTHING to say

well Yella - why did yu change yo mind?

cos they are ****e basically, the compound is a mixture of old marigold gloves and the soles off slippers. you are lucky if you can get 15000 out of em and the sidewalls split if you go within 100 yards of summat a bit sharp

Look on ebay, I got a good set of wheels and tyres, brand new for £235.

They were straight off a 110, they guy had alloys so he put them on instead.

FFS pos you should know in this country you get what you pay for so what do you thinik your gonna get for 28 squids mate. changed my mind in the end and got BFGs again plus new wheels of course.

at the land rover clerpout i bought some 235 general grabber mts better than half worn fer 40 quid cos the guy didnt wna take them home . on black eihgt spokes aswell

now your just trying to pis me off bloat every time i need something they either aint on ebay or everyone is sold out still got a set of 5 black 8 spokes
for 161 sqids

Lol, sorry Yella, been out taxiing people about! I've got colways on now and I dunno how ,ong they've been on cos they were there when I bought it nearly a year ago. They still seem in really good condition, might go for some slightly more expensive ones next time round mind!

Are they worn? Or are you just changing them for the sake of it?

I'd just be changing them for the sake of it! Fancy some slightly narrower but slightly higher. Will wait until they're needed though!

I am sure your landy will find a way of making you spend money on it soon.
