Hi all, hoping you can assist me here, been having a few issues since purchase with central locking, used to get the engine disabled and have on a few occasions been able to manually unlock the drivers door and put in the security code and disable the lockout, but recently after a drive, i couldnt open my drivers door from inside or outside, central looking only locked/opened 3 doors and could not open tailgate aswell as drivers door, so for an unknown reason i tried battery disconnect which just basically caused a lockout, fob doesnt work, and now can not do manual unlock/security key sequence due to nothing happening in the door, im guessing I have some sort of issue with the door more than the key.

Before when i turned key in door to the left 4 times the indicator lights used to flash, now nothing happens, nothing happens when i try re sync in door neither.

Keypack switches in doorlock have failed I guess. Tailgate is fed thru drivers door switchpack, so the clues are there.
If you cannot open it from inside or outside you have inadvertently superlocked it.

Dan is correct, drivers door lock switches have failed or the mechanism has seized up. Sounds like the door is now super locked if you cannot open it from the inside.

@martyuk does refurbed lock actuators with upgraded microswitches. Highly recommended. He has a Website somewhere. Sure someone can direct you. The 1999 model is a bit more of a sod than the early model otherwise I'd say swap them out yourself. If you're good with soldering irons and fiddly stuff then it may still be an option for you.

Thought you were going to the pub.;)

I have to admit I have been so ****ed trying to hget back I had to cycle in sweeps side to side as straight ahead just wasn't an option. Good job it was on the sideroads and dark so I could fall in the hedge whenever i saw headlights.
I followed my mate back from the pub one night and he failed to negotiate a bend, I rounded the bend and saw a bike wheel and a pair of legs sticking out of a blackthorn hedge. When we got him out he looked as if he had been crucified.

Yep, getting back can be fun. We stopped one night at a Chinese take-away while walking home. Later on we stopped for a ****. My mate put the sweet & sour sauce in his inside jacket pocket. Halfway through his **** he had a balance crisis and fell forward, still holding his todger in both hands and ramrod straight, right into the now damp hedge, crushing the sauce pot which exploded hot sauce all over the inside of his jacket and more importantly all over his chest. Scalding hot, apparently. Took us a while to stop laughing long enough to help him out of his jacket and throw some water on his burns.

Ha ha , nice one , Is it an easy job to change Keypack switches? remember the door will not open so im guessing access to the inside door is going to be hard, would it be easier to take it to a garage? im quite willing to take the garage hit on this one.

Depends on which actuator you have and that depends on the year. Early ones like my '95 are a piece of ****. 10 minutes to whip the door card off and get the actuator out, the switches are on the bottom and just pull out. Refit reverse of removal. The later ones are not so simple. For those I'd just contact Marty and get a refurbed one he's already done for you. Saves a lot of time and mucking about.
