K-Seal with LPG

Hi guys.

Was just wondering if it's ok to use K-Seal with LPG?

I noticed today that i had a drip of water coming from an elbow on my LPG thingy magig in the engine bay. Im thinking thats why my car drinks lots of water.

Trouble is i can't find any other leaks. This leak i found today im sure is newish and judging by the rate of dripping, i find it hard to belive that it would make top up with water every 2 days. Apparently K-Seal only hardens when in contact with air, therefore not blocking anything you don't want blocking.
Or is that not the case with K-Seal?

search the site for k seal then make your own mind up....
for what it's worth m8.......ITS ****E. blocks waterways eventually, if your rad has any partial blockages this **** will seal em good and proper:doh:

Get your leak fixed, it is probably only an O ring,

I am now rebuilding my engine following a leak from the LPG elbow at the vaporiser

Chances are it's just an O-ring and can be repaired but I do run with K-seal in my engine even though I don't have any known leaks and it's never caused any problems, Never leaked any water either!

I used one once as a quick fix to a 3.9 V8 that had a leaking core plug on the back of the block behind the flywheel. My options were to remove the engine and replace the plug or try £12 worth of block sealant. As a quick fix I gave it a go and 5 years later and about 40K miles it hasn't used a drop of water since.

I also had a 4.2 V8 once with a cracked or slipped liner and I tried the Seal-up on that following the instructions to the letter. That went another 20K miles and 4 years before I sold the vehicle.

I'm a firm fan of their products having tried them and been convinced by the results.

I'm sure everyone will disagree with me now but that is simply my experience and my opinions and no, I don't work for the company that makes them.

Just looked up K seal. Any company that describes a core plug as a freeze plug cannot be relied upon. They obviously talk out of their arses.

yeah, but craggles worked for him even though he actually has no problems with the car and won't know he has until it's too late.
(who has no connection to k seal) anyone who has to post something like that automatically makes me think, "he works for em"

Properly maintained cooling systems don't need K-seal or any other like product in them. Like their sales pitch "Seals up leaking head gaskets" the only way to do that properly, is to change it. At most it is a temporary repair until sooner rather than later the fault is repaired properly. I do wish people would stop pouring this stuff into their engines and forgeting that they are masking a problem and not correcting one.

don't be saying that m8, the only way some folks learn is by paying a big wad o cash out when it could have been sorted in the first place for pennies

Think what you like, All I'm stating is that it does work and no, I have no connection with whoever makes the stuff.

Yes, a well maintained and looked after coolant system does not need it and I don't just stick the stuff in as a matter of course but when I have been faced with the choice of a painful engine removal or replacing an engine at great cost, this stuff has always saved my bacon. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

If she still drinks water after this is done then i have no idea anymore as to why she is using water. Might have to do another head test just to be sure.
By the way, i was recomended k-seal by a guy down the road from me who used to work for Landrover for many years. He said it's the only product that manufacturers use in production of making the cars. He said that they would put it in whilst assembling the cars in the factory to fix any cock ups they made whilst making the car.
Don't know if thats true or not though but i take him as an honest chap.

Well don't know if that's true either but if it is it speaks volumes about Land Rovers attitude to quailty control on the production line. But then again there maybe an amount of truth in it. Have seen many known faults on cars never rectified on a production run. Because it was cheaper to take a warranty claim than to stop the line and sort them. Classic example of that would be the N/S/R passenger door on the Morris Marina. There were hundreds of them that could not be opened from inside or out, that had to have the door cards ripped off, the lock activation wires put in place ( not fitted at the factory) and a new card fitted. Early DPA rotary injection pumps that had a know bearing problem which then caused a seal to fail filling the engine sump with diesel. Have changed lots of these under warranty. It is going back a few years though hopefully things have improved slightly.

Well gegs88 i put k-seal in my p38 4.6 on lpg 2+ years ago and no leaks since, i also tow a big twin axle caravan, but musy agree if you can find the problem and can fix it do it, if not give k-seal ago. ps i dont have any connections with k-seal.

some tosser put it mine before i bought it, 3 weeks after i got it i replaced the rad as it was blocked. it was full of this ****e when we opened it up. it had also started blocking the water galleries in the engine (found that one out when the head gasket went). the ****e had been put in to mask it and as i was full of a cold when i went looking at it i forgot to check the water.

so yes i can comment on it, it's a ****e bodge usually used by chancers who are after flogging the car or who can't be arsed fixing it.

if landrover are throwing this ****e in on the production line then they want ****ing up hill and down dale. ****ing chancers...

How do you know it was K-seal they put in your car and not rad weld or something else???

Two things gegs88 iam not a chancer or a tosser , ive had the car 3 years so i havent put it in to sell it sorry to hear you got burnt buting one but you should off looked at it properly
