Yes.

Awesome place, but be careful .. because they let animals loose in anything the ground can be unpredictable, good grip one day, mahoosive ruts the next. The mud sets hard like concrete so well worth cleaning off ASAP afterwards .. ;)

It says a 600 acre site on thier website!!! Thats massive!

Has anyone been here? Is it as good as it looks??

Just across the river from me, when I lived in Hull. Of that 600 acres. only about 1/3rd is driveable. As said they don't give a **** who thy let in, what they drive or how they drive. Although it's not as bad as it was, now they've shoved the price up.

Loads of stolen motors end up there and get ragged to death and then left. I went on 2 consecutive open days, where someone rolled or seriously trashed a 90, and then did a runner and left the vehicles on site.

People fly around with no insurance and no regard for anyone else's motors. Not a place to take ya pride & joy. Management make no attempt to keep track of vehicle regs nor do they check if the vehicles are insured. Before allowing them on site.

last time i went end of last year had to fill in a form and give drivers name and addy..so maybe they are tightening up a bit also wnated to see driving license of anyone driving..which is a bit stupid really considering how many young lads were driving suzis round..obviously with no driving licence

yeah sounds like it. It was 2008 when I went there. Take it the place is still full of idiots then??

Buildwas was like that at the weekend, a small number of pikey bastards ragging round scrapped 4x4s with no regard for anyones safety let alone keeping a safe distance from other vehicles

Cheers for the info guys, will just have to stay away from the Dickheads!

It sounds like a place where itl be a once every so often.......

I live around the York area, wheres the best place (You have experienced ) around this area?

So far I have been to Tong, Frickley and Cowm quarry.

Scott

briercliffe is a good site and there arent any idiots everythin is kept under control and they do allow non road legals but they go through a scrutineering test so there isnt any scrapyard specials

Hmmmm, after reading all that I'm in two minds about going Bank Holiday weekend, not that my 200 is owt special but then it is my everyday car

After going there mate i wont be going there again! Its an awsome place with regards to the amount of space and different routes and things to keep you occupied.

But the reason i wont be going back is because of the cement type mud and clay stuff (Quarry) gets bloody everywhere! Takes ages to clean and where you dont/cant clean sticks like ****e to a blanket! Brake calipers, handbrake drum, rad etc etc!

And for that reason im out :)

There is a huge amount of BS in this thread, I've visited KORC about 20 times over the last 3 years its been reopened.

1) KORC is huge, bigger than RYB, Bawtry, Frickley, Tong, Cowm. (Scale map).
2) It has great facilities, free jet wash, toilets, showers, hot food cafe.
3) No set routes, you can drive any where on site, even the lake.
4) The clay IS very harsh on vehicles.
5) Those photos were not taken at KORC.
6) KORC has no RTV restrictions on vehicles, but you are much more likely to see extreme challenge trucks and 60inch wheeled monsters than scrap Discos like that photo.
7) Like all place you get the occasional idiot, but it's no worse than any where else in that regard.

What bull****?
1) KORC is huge, bigger than RYB, Bawtry, Frickley, Tong, Cowm. (Scale map).
No-one said it wasn't, indeed we allsaid it's huge, awesome etc
2) It has great facilities, free jet wash, toilets, showers, hot food cafe.
No-one said any different
3) No set routes, you can drive any where on site, even the lake.
See above
4) The clay IS very harsh on vehicles.
thi was said and isn't Bull****
5) Those photos were not taken at KORC.
No-one said they were. Indeed, if you can read and take things in context then you'd see they were marked as being from Buildwas.

6) KORC has no RTV restrictions on vehicles, but you are much more likely to see extreme challenge trucks and 60inch wheeled monsters than scrap Discos like that photo.
Did anyone say different?
7) Like all place you get the occasional idiot, but it's no worse than any where else in that regard.
I disagree there. It may be OK now but wasn't when I was there in 2008 ... and I haven't been back 'cos we used to go with family and it simply wasn't safe enough, in my view. This is from someone (me) who raced Enduro and taught my kids to ride Trials bikes in competition since they could ride.

Dear Mr Angry Red from Doncaster you are wrong on every count, not least about the fact you are supposed to use green ink not red so that everybody knows you are, in fact, a lunatic. In future to avoid :frusty: I suggest you attend an adult literacy class.
