Not for mrsblonde, but my 2003 L322.. am considering a post 2006 facelift for the love of my life, what parts am i going to need, other than the obvious headlights, grille and bumper?

I know i'll need headlight convertor plugs, but will i need any hidden away bits, such as different bumper mounting bracket/beam etc?

Bumper should fit on same brackets with a little bit of jiggery pokery.

Lights and grill have screws in the same place so no problems there.

You'll need to buy an induction kit though, cuz the new lights are deeper and the old Air box don't fit no more. Not sure about dezuls tho.

Oh, and to do it properly you'll need to grind some metal off the wing and do some welding - could bodge it with rivets if you are careful enough - The wings are aluminium so welding might be an issue for some peeps.

Other than that - can't think of anything else - it is quite a straight forward conversion - the only problem used to be the connectors on the lights but you can buy plugs on ebay for that these day as you've mentioned.

Good luck and if you need any advice just ask :)

Oh hang on - If I remember, I think I had to buy a cross member for the bumper.

Anybody know for sure?

I'll dig the old invoice out for the conversion I did a few years ago - it's got everything you need on it.

Also, whats the likelyhood of buying a set of later style headlights 2nd hand and them not working? Much to go wrong with them/any known faults? Chances are I'll be getting them mail order so wont get to test them before hand

And can anyone recommend the best seller on Ebay/best place to get the headlight adapters from, it seems everyone and their cocker spaniel are selling them
