Yeah. It means that you have license to kludge rather than having to to
things the "right" way.

Now - for myself - I consider myself a talented bodger.

Have I buggery... :-(

The woman who signed for it at Number 5 took it around to Number 7.

It was Number 7 who called the feckwit courier...

Then they moved out of Number 7...

Sophie only moved into Number 7 four days ago...

Sophie is going to call their landlord and ask if he knows anything.

Sophie is 5'5" and a size 8 - apparently...

What was that about a scanner?

Erm...

Odd, yes.

I was just saying exactly the same thing to Brent (remember Brent?).

Just about everything to do with this sodding 'labour-saving' project
has been sooo difficult.

For those who care, the 'project' was to barcode the 700 odd renewals
for the 101 club (see, it is on topic after all). ****ing technology.

serves you right for ****ing it, then...

Well for my 94 Disco 300TDi I want...

o Servicing kit from Difflock, plus all the bits for the service
including those nifty sump plugs.
o Some nice Spotlights...
o Rear light guards
o All the bits to convert the upper rear lights to be repeaters of the
indicators and running lights
o New rear bumper
o Dog guard
o Roller-blind-style loadspace cover
o Full loadspace liner
o A new paint job
o A new inner off-side wing
o Covert strobe lamps for the front headlights and rear light pod
o "Winker" unit for the spotlights
o Wheelan DashKing
o New 2-way radio and bits
o Two-tone air siren
o Overdrive

Need I go on? And that's before anything goes wrong. Oh, and I have a
feeling I need to start saving for a new gearbox, since mine has a
tendency to be very awkward and noisy getting into second and sometimes
3rd.

On the list of things I can't buy:

o Endless supply of round tuits
o Snow
o A job in Wales/the opportunity to leave my miserable-but-well-paid
job and join the Ambulance service

Hope Santa brings you all something nice.

Cheers,
Aled.

I take it you mean you want HID xenon lamps?

I guess you might legally be able to do this by putting the latest type of
front end on it...

however, IIRC, it's only legal in this country to fit HID lamps to something
with automatic headlamp levelling.

They are cute, though, and if I had the money I'd like some for the
cuteness-value.

however, more practically...

6" Ring Rally Giant are the current best-value in spotlamps, IMHO. mine
cost about 30 quid a pair, with bulbs ("only" 55W, mind, but they're plenty
bright enough if fed from a proper supply). and they look good on the
disco, too. proper steel lamp casings, an' all.

Round Tuit's are available in surprisingly large quantities during the
tourist season from the John O' Groats visitor shop at the top end of the
British Mainland. Been there, got some.
