Knock me down with a feather.... IT PASSED ! :D

I knew that new fuel tank cradle would save me.

Happy Days.

Now to get that soft top on for some real hairdressers motoring LOL

Interestingly.. here is the list of 'advisories'...
Offside rear (deteriorated on limit) Direction Indicator slightly discoloured (1.4.A.2f)
Offside front Direction Indicator slightly discoloured (1.4.A.2f)
O/S headlamp beam pattern slightly poor
Battery slightly loose
Rear trailing arm bushes showing some deterioration

So a few 'slightly's..

Interesting about the indicators.. especially the rear offside.. its a brand new cluster.
Are Freelanders supposed to have yellow tinted bulbs in the rear ??

You will just need new coloured bulbs in your indicators, often the orange paint on them cracks and comes off with age so the light becomes more white. There is no requirement for the lenses on the indicators themselves to be orange, just to emit an orange light.

I think they guy was just being officious - with the battery for example I don't think it matters if it is loose, the test is about is it secure - so if it can move a few millimeters but there is no risk of it falling out or touching other parts if the vehicle rolled over - should pass I think. Also would query the use of deterioration - I would have expected to see the words "wear" or "play" on an advisory.

But never the less, your car has ""slightly" passed and that is still a pass!

A battery has to be "secure". That is open to interpretation.

As for the bulbs, borrow some of your wife's/girlfriends/boyfriends red nail varnish and give em a quick paint. Common trick :).

Bought new 'orange' indicator bulbs yesterday. Rears done. Do you think I could work out how to change the fronts? Take the headlights out? Take the wings off? I wasn't until looking on youtube that I realised there is an access panel in the wheel arch!

How funky is that !?!?
