my gear stick I'm talking about.

I've just test drove 2 Freelanders today... One the gear stick felt like it was sitting in a vat of treacle, very positive to move, but very stiff.

The other one (And the one I've bought) feels very loose.
it's only got 48k on the clock, but should I be a little worried and getting them to check it out before I pay the rest of the money for it???

I must add though that it drives great, no noise or grinding e.t.c.

Thanks

i had a floppy one lol
mine was the roll pin had stretched the outer hole of the gear selector so off with the sump guard nocked out the old pin found a new pin a bit bigger nocked that in and all good:D

We talking FL1 or FL2?

Just never noticed a FL1 with treacle-esque gear selection, i thought they were all floppy :)

FL2 on the other hand, bloody hell, they make my arm ache :)
