I hope that one of you guys can give me a bit of advice So I don't start replacing parts willy nilly. A couple of years ago my the aircon in my 56 plate Freelander stopped working (suddenly). With lock down last year and, not going on holiday, I didn't bother to get it fixed (I assumed it needed a re-gas). I have just had the car re-gassed and guess what? No aircon. When I took it for a re-gas, the aircon guy told me it was holding pressure. So no leaking refrigerant. I have looked over the system and noticed two faults. When I turn the aircon on the switch illuminates and then two thing that I think should happen don't. First I would expect one of the radiator fans should start spinning, neither move. Second the clutch on the compressor does not engage. Is it possible that there is a control module that may be broken that will effect both fan and compressor. Or am I grasping at straws and the compressor needs changing.

The AC is controlled by the ECM, so there's no separate module.
Really it needs to go to a specialist, but it's probably the pressure sensor at fault.
