It is worth it? FL1 2000 1.8

They are pretty quick for a 4X4. It's sub 9 seconds to 60!! I'd describe it as warm hatch performance. My V6 will out pace my wifes VW Tiguan by quite a margin. But the Freelander is slow compared to my tuned ZS180!! I'd like to improve the Freelander's performance but I don't want to make it unreliable in the process.

Must be a hoot. You certainly don't buy the 1.8 if 0-60 is a key criteria, but you do get used to it and then every thing else you drive is a racing car:D

It's not a hoot when I fill it up though :( It loves petrol!! Although the 1.8 is hardly economical ether.

Well, its the same when u get chatting to a V8 owner, they'll say drinks like a fish but they always have a big grin on there faces while saying it!!

Yeah, I can just about live with the mpg of mine. In the past thought long about a Td4 - mind you I'd want to live round the corner from SV. They seem very complex things to maintain.
