We have landers shop, Landy point and rld to name a few.
Three of which are very competitive but not as competitive as island 4x4 for such a pricey choice of car.. Even with the postage.

I agree that some supplier are cheaper and I look for that myself, but I'm feeling my fingers have been burnt here, almost 6 weeks and no parts and no way to communicate with them, certainly will figure in my calculations when looking for bits in the future.

They're not very good at answering emails either, other than the last one I sent in May about delivering to France. They did respond saying that they were running on a skeleton staff and euro deliveries were suspended.
I'm sorry to hear you've heard nothing at all

I wouldn't mind some delay, I completely understand things are not normal, but they managed to take the card payment on day one, and have not been in touch to advise of any delay, 6 weeks is way too far and I've had enough now.

Is there any way the bank can help or try sending an email with a different address. Maybe your emails are going to their spam... I don't know what else to suggest really.

Something has obviously gone wrong, Island have always been very good when I have used them, as Mark suggests, perhaps you emails are going into their spam box.

Is there a member near Island that can go and have a word in their shell likes? Tell them it's not doing their reputation any good.

Looking at their site they dont seem to have any facilities to visit for orders or pickups, so I think they only intend to communicate online (or rather not communicate).
I did not intend to do any harm to their business, but just wanted others on here to avoid the situation I find myself in.

I have used their online contact form as well as e mail to the address they give and the phone number given, I would have expected something to get through.

I bet you are not the only customer having these problems so they are harming their own business. Considering the ammount of customers that use this site I'm surprised they don't monitor this site.

Maybe they are insolvent and are using yours and others money to stay afloat, maybe you could try sending them a demand for reimbursement through the post with some franking in bold red on the envelope stating Very important do not ignore official debt recovery or something like that you might just get lucky.
You know the old saying The Squeekyest Wheel Gets The Oil.
Good luck and thanks for the heads up I shall not use them again but I do buy a lot from Foundry 4X4 they are VERY GOOD:D

Doing a search and going back over it, it seems there has been a lot of issues with Island 4x4, I have used them once, the price was unbelievable compared to others and had no issues. However having read so many people having problems I would not use them as a first point of shopping on something that I needed within a given timescale tbh.

Cheers

As I said I dont wish to start any kind of crusade here, i will probably try to call one more time tomorrow and if i cant get through then i may call the card company in the afternoon and tell them the story and ask them to refund the money, then go through the whole process of finding and re ordering everything.
Just wondered if anyone on here has had an order filled successfully in the last couple of weeks? Is it just me that has ordered something unobtainable.

Edit
By the way to be fair I have used them in the past, when I rebuilt my transfer box the order was delivered quickly, and parts were good quality.

Yer mate I’ve placed about 4 or 5 orders with island 4x4 and got my stuff within a week normally on one occasion I order about 4 things but only 3 turned up I even said to the DPD guy about it and the nxt day he was back again with the parcel there’s no point going there because there an online service only apart from a Dutch bloke I saw collecting a load of parts to take back

Now that's interesting, makes it seem that my order has gone astray, or I've ordered something hard to get.

Yer mate I’ve tried calling them there never seems to be an answer but I think you will find your emails aint getting through
