Hi all,

was looking at fitting one of these rev counters to my Defender ( BLACK FACE REV COUNTER TACHO RPM GAUGE - DIESEL TDI TD | eBay )

from looking at forums and web pages i see that it is the "W" terminal on the alternator that the signal wire is fitted to but i was just looking for someone to confirm which one is which before i start ripping wires out...

Here is a picture of my alternator and the wire i think leads to the "W" terminal

Cheers Robert

P.S. Anyone know what this terminal does?

no such thing as standard landrover...
if it has a extrenal cooling fan on the front it'll be a Lucas A127 65amp or if the fan is internal it'll most likely be a Marrelli 100amp,

w is tacho, big stud D+ is output and goes to battery, small stud goes to warning/charge light.

this mite help? A127
