Hi guys,
Currently I've got 2 forward facing fold up seats in the back of my 90, with seat belts, 1995 vehicle, station wagon roof.
I'd like to level off the back tub with ply, so it's completely flat between the two wheel arches. The seats would still work fine, the seat belts would go through to the anchor plates on the floor, the seats still mounted in the same way to the wheel arch, I'd just have to remove the fold down legs off the seats and strengthen under the floor, so the seats rest in the normal position. No problems there.
Not too bothered about how comfortable this would be, if people go in the back it's only for short trips.
But would having no 'footwell' for the forward facing rear seats be a legal issue? The occupants feet would be sticking out in front of them instead of dangling down. Can anyone see a problem with this?
Thanks for your input!
Cheers
Oli
