How to fit Defender TD5 rear inward facing seats?

Evening all,

I’m fitting rear inward facing seats in the back of my landy, except I cannot fit the bracket for the seat back on one side due to the position of the fuel filler cap box.

I’m sure many have overcome this issue - I’m just wondering what the best solution is to fit the seat. Do I need to fabricate a bracket that fits around the fuel cap box?
