Is This Normal

Not sure if I have a problem or not searched the forum cant find any with same problem got a td5 w reg car sits level drives fine tows caravan great only problem when i climb on the roof rack to tie my kayak down every now and again (with the engine off) the car drops so the tow bar is just off the floor when i start it goes up everything fine again have i got a problem or is it just cos the compressor is not running and they all do that any help would be great

Sounds like it doesn't like you're weight pressing down in it! do the women complain as well??? If so you might want to consider dieting!!

I had exactly the same problem its turned out to be a leaky airbag might just be a tiny hole but when the compressor is running it creates enough pressure to keep it up, kust had mine changed it was only one airbag but it doesn't do it anymore

Also just had same problem. Leak can be from valve block, pipes, air bags. Mine was air bag. Bought a couple of Dunlop bags off Paddocks at special online price and fitted myself. Pretty easy if you're any good at diy and have a decent trolley jack. Steve.

Thanks for replys changed the airbags today from paddocks took longer to get the locking wheel nuts off than change the bags.
