sorry guys having trouble with photobucket so uploded it to youtube so heres the link and the original question......

have a look at the following video it of my twisting the transfer box. its kinda hard to see cos i was under the rr holding the camera and pushing the ratchet

question is do it look like its knackered? i did get a turn on it when it was in "P" about 1/8th of a turn

from what i can see, i would say not, as you can turn it by hand, it does have a limited amount of slip to allow for the differnt speeds between the front and rear axles, when theyturn at greater speeds, the gel like substance inside then locks it up so power is then split equal.
 
You should be able to turn the flange completely round with moderate effort. If it is locking up at any stage you have a problem. It should be much easier to turn directly on the flange as you are doing, than it would be by turning the wheel through the diff and propshaft which is quite difficult, and requires great force. But it should be completely turnable. Do it with transfer box in neutral and hand brake set.
