Cars often seen economically not worth repairing but you ought to bear in mind the worth of the vehicle to you, rather than just the value of the car.

A good example is a hatchback I used to have. It was probably only worth £400 but I would happily hundreds if something major went wrong because it was unlikely I would get a car that was worth so much to me for £400.

Personally, I don;t see the point in Mondo mode, because I want my vehicles to be four wheel drive, whether I use them on or off road. When I ran our Camel in Mondo mode for a week whilts I was waiting for parts, I was staggered by the change in handling characteristics - but to fair, it is far from standard if you consider wheight and distrubition, so the change in balance may be less noticeable with a standard Freelander.

Cheers
