Hi,

Just registered this afternoon.

Put a deposit (online buy) on a Land Rover Defender 90, 2012 model and will view it in a couple of weeks. Bought it online, so hopefully, when I go to view it there will be no issues and I can buy it. I have never been so excited about a car since I bought my first car, which was nearly 30 years ago. Anyway, fingers crossed but she looks great from the photographs.

Thanks,
Scott

Hello Scott, welcome to LZ. Got me a Fender 90 too - but a bit older older / rustier / tattier :).
Stick the piccies up hey?

Cheers, Turk and thanks for the welcome. I certainly will upload some pictures when I get her (If I get her?). Bought online, which
is risky but only a deposit on it, so any issues I will just walk away but she looks gorgeous. Aintree green, new wheels, tyres, seats upholstered. I even spoke to
the mechanic who done some work on her and said she was a bit tatty inside but they have gone right through it. Only 40k, so chassis should be sound
at that age but Ill be having a right good poke (hammer) about.

Got mine last June. Came into a bit of money and had been promising myself a Defender for thirty odd years (you know how it is,
life gets in the way sometimes). When I left the house that Saturday morning I told myself "just take a look", "get a feel for the market", plenty of time".

In the end I spent an entire afternoon trying out a 300tdi and a TD5, one after the other, over and over. The TD5 was a bit overdone by my lights.
Too much checker plate, "wrong" wheels, non original seats, tiny steering wheel. Also the amount of electrics bothered me.

For all my good intentions, I bought the first one I tried pretty much. Am a weak fool, but I just couldn't help m'self! Best of luck, keep us posted..
