Any ideas why my passenger footwell is getting soaked in the rain while parked up and also all around the edge of the roof inside

Cant really see on the picture but its the section below the handles and all along both sides, its dry around the sunroof

The usual suspects are sunroof-seal, gutter sealant fail and alpine window rubbers, with water running forward and down to the footwell, with a bright torch remove the kick panel and look for traces of water on the inner wing behind the relays.

Think i found the problem to the footwell, looks like where the arch meets the bulkhead is rotted i think (under the washer bottle)

Ill have a closer look at the sunroof later

Mine was like a watering can . By the time I got it sorted i found at least 6 different leaks. door seals, bulkhead gutter trays, floor bungs, rear door which rotted rear floor. Advice is to fix leaks before rust eats your disco. Also I now check floor mats yearly ensuring no leaks. talcum powder is a great help to trace leaks.

I recently had all the roof lining out, sun roofs out and roof bars off, all put back together with sealer and thought I sorted the leaks, but I still have water on the roof lining at the top of drivers A pillar....I'm lost as to where it's coming in 💦

Common problem on D1 and D2 is the seam/joint of the steel panels behind the top corner of the windscreen. The seam can allow water to leak out behind the windscreen; water then runs out onto the headlining corners. My D1 has a tiny amount coming in this way but I saw a D2 with a sigificant amount of water leaking through this way.
It's not difficult to cure but the screen needs to come out.

How does the water manage to get in there? Is it through the windscreen rubber?

For what it costs try Tiger seal and get in under the window rubber seal with it . I spent hours with a hose pipe on window rubber only to eventually discover it was the gutter basin or what ever its called on bulkhead at air inlet. A good covering with wax oil sorted it for good .A damp floor makes a car very unpleasant to drive causes misty windows, floor rot,and nasty smells .
Hope you sort it soon.

The water comes in through panel joints in the roof front corners and seeps through. I believe that only 89-94 Discovery models had the windscreen fitted in a rubber seal. After this all screens were direct glazed (stuck in) and the rubber trims are really just cosmetic.

Thanks, I tried to seal up the top corners, I noticed there was a gap in the windscreen rubber at the end of the roof gutter but even after that the water still gets in and the roof lining is soaked when it rains......🚿🚿🚿

Well took out the roof lining, water getting along the top of the windscreen, and coming down at the top right corner. Is that a screen out job???
