So found a crack/hole in the intercooler hose, the longer hose that leaves the manifold. Ordered what I thought was the right hose (and only 12 quid so happy not expensive) but on delivery found that what I should've ordered was the whole PNH500190 hose which includes the sensor and the small hose. If you're still with me the question I have is this - can I simply cut down the new hose I've got and fit it or do I need to get the complete version? As it is I don't think the problem is related to the sensor. Reason for asking is PNH500190 costs about 50 quid so keen to avoid this expense if at all possible.
Cheers for looking and thanks in advance for any sueful advice.

Hi
Cut it down, what you have is the hose from an earlier model that did not have the sensor on the front. I recently replaced all my intercooler hoses with silicon, i got the hose like yours and cut it down and used the bit cut off to fit at the other side of the sensor as it was cheaper than buying the 3 peice set.

Thanks for that. Basic question but would you suggest cutting with a blade or a hack saw? Ask as it needs to be airtight so wondered. Cheers

Is the airtightness not related to the amount of pressure you put on the jubileeclips and not necessarily on the kind of blade you cut the hose in two with????:D:D:D
