Just thinking - if I put (say) a 3.5 V8 into a 2.5N/A diesel 90, what does the insurance man do/say. If I do the engine swap such that it's exactly the same as a factory V8 90, then are they cool with it - or is it still a "Modded" motor?

What happens if an engine is fitted that was never normally fitted to a 90 - like a nissan 3.0 litre - what's the score with insurance then?

Yeah - absolutely.

But I go through the rigmarole every year - listing the mods etc on my rangie, as the 4.6 wasn't fitted tot eh classic.
I was wondering if this was the case for an earlier 90 fitted with a later 90 engine - do they simply call it a 1984 TD5 90???
