Hi,

Just had renewal quote for my defender 110 300tdi (N reg) 11 seats ( 5 in the front and two side facing benches behind the dog guard). It's been insured by NFU for the past two years (£350 premium) but they are now quoting over £2000. Anyone have a solution?

Yep

take out middle replace with cubby
3 in middle

2 bench seats in back- limited to 2 adults each side ( not 3 )

and it's a 9 seater and Flux will cover it no problems - it's what I had to do when I had exactly same problem :)

My 1997 300tdi 110 CSW is an ex BT vehicle...3 seats in front and 3 middle row... none in back. Lancaster Insurance £170 fully comp.
A Flux etc will slaughter that quote....no need to take seats out, more trouble than its worth

I have a 96 110 300 tdi county with driver & 8 passenger seats. Just gone through my renewal and most places won't touch mine now. Flux will do it and so will admiral and they were the only 2 that I found competitive the few others that would quote were way over the top on price. PM ed @ Adrian flux and he will come up with a better price.

Thanks for the help. NFU suggested taking out the bench seats and having an "engineer's report" sent to them and they may adjust the premium. Think I'll give Adrian Flux a ring. Lancaster said they couldn't help me despite trying to reclass it as a van.

I filled in the online quote with Adrian flux and then sent ed a pm to check it. He comes back to you pretty quick
