Very sadly our Land Rover 110 County Station Wagon is up for sale.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123248329496
Born 03/11/1988 and since then she has been retrofitted with a 300Tdi from a Discovery mated to the LT77 gearbox and a 1.211 ratio LT230 Transfer Box. Fully fitted snorkel, high level front spot lights wired to come on with the main beam.
Also retrofitted with a Hawke Central Locking system for ease of access!
Vehicle Chassis, Bulkhead and Sills etc are solid as can be seen in this walkaround video:
She will come with a full length roof rack and window guards, and I will try and get some photos of those and post those for viewing too.
Seat cover condition is very good and I also have a pair of front centre seats that fit in place of the cubby box if you want 3 seats in front. I have the original Bench Seats and Cushions for the rear tub too for those times when upto 12 people can be loaded up and taken for a jaunt.
In my ownership we have :
Fitted new front and rear propshafts, Engine has been taken out and new core plugs fitted, new clutch, clutch bearing, clutch release arm, clutch release arm slippers last year. Cam/Timing belt was replaced last March (6-8k miles ago or so), new idler pulleys, new crank sprocket, new serpentine belt, replacement PAS Pump.
Also we have done:
New Radiator:
Starter:
New CV Joints, Swivel Pins, Swivel Seals, Axle Seals and Front Wheel Bearings:
New Rear Wheel Bearings and Axle Seals:
A lot of love has been lavished on this old girl and we really really are reluctantly selling her, but with our new baby boy on the scene, she is to impractical to keep around and time to devote to her is in short supply. She has been a great friend to us and taken us along some fantastic lanes, and got us to places other cars just can't reach. But needs must and the time has come for her to go to someone who will be able to use her to her full ability.
Good points (not an exhaustive list, just the main contenders when looking at Land Rovers!):
Chassis is solid
Outriggers are solid
A, B and C pillars are solid
Bulkhead is solid with no repairs or patches, just good solid metal
Rear Cross Member is solid
Front and Rear Spring Mounts, Front Shock Turrets all solid
Footwells are good
Front and Rear Chassis Legs are solid, straight and sound
Seats are in good condition
Engine doesn't smoke unless you absolutely gun the poor thing - but why would you want to do that? - and even then it is just a puff and clears, no issues on MOT smoke test this year.
As mentioned above:
Replacement Starter
Replacement PAS Pump
New Radiator
New Front and Rear Wheel Bearings
New CV Joints, New Swivel Pins
New Swivel Seals
New Axle Seals
New Front and Rear Propshafts
New Clutch
New Clutch Release Bearing
New Spigot Bearing
New Release Arm
New Release Arm Slippers
New Core Plugs
New Cam/Timing Belt
New Idlers Pulley
New Head Gasket (only changed when engine was out just to ensure I knew the condition of it and when it was last changed)
New Crank Sprocket
New Serpentine Belt
New Leak Off Pipes and Fuel Banjo
MOT'd until February 2019, and she was a daily driver until 3 months ago when made the decision she was not practical with our new baby!
V5C is present in my name and two sets of keys.
The only bad bits (and even then they are not 'bad' just need looking at):
Rear tub cappings will need a rub down and re-primed and painted - see video
Door bottoms are in need of attention as they are not so great!
Bonnet cable needs looking at, bonnet can be opened if you reach under the slam panel and pull the release cable.
Paintwork is a tad 'shabby chic' again it is shown in the video above
Typical Land Rover oil dribble underneath, but it is not pouring out, just a spot when left over night.
Speedo needle bounces around, I have a new speedo cable so will try that and see if it stops!
Sunroof can leak, but nothing drastic - I have put some tape on it which seems to have stopped it!
She is listed on ebay with a reserve of £4250, she is on Autotrader at a bit more than that, but will accept offers from Zone members in the region of £4250 to £4500.
She was on guaranteed value insurance for £6k so I don't think I am being to overly optimistic - heck, we sold our last 110 with a cracked and rotten chassis last year for £3900.....
Sad, sad, sad day....but she does need to go.
