The replacement binnacle I had in the workshop fitted straight in but I didn’t realise it was from a manual so had to set it back to auto (it was driving a bit gutless and then we noticed there was no D, 1, 2, 3 etc showing on the dash and sport/manual) I
It means that the other one was the same cos the instrument pack has nothing to do with driveability whatsoever..... i really want to help but while you are not listening or posting such enormities i can't go further, i'm the kind of guy who gives you his shirt at -25*C just to save you from freezing but i want at least some respect for that... re-read all my posts please and try to concentrate cos at this point my impression is that you've ignored simple things... THE INSTRUMENT PACK's SETTING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VEHICLE'S GEARBOX or any iother systems, it's plug and play and all the programming is in the BCU... all i can say is that at least RTFM of what nanocom can do... cos it would be really stupid to wait that one stressed guy like me who's 3'rd language is english to tell you everything like to a young schoolboy ....... good luck m8, i feel offendedo_O ... that's how i am and it's too late to be changed... Good luck and my apologies if i seem arrogant but i put much passion in this:cool:

@sierrafery sorry you've lost me - I thanked you for helping me? We followed your wiring diagram regarding the SVS modification and it worked. I'm not sure what there is to be offended about. The problem is solved and I have thanked you for your help.

With regards to the instrument pack - I have no idea where the information is stored - all I know is I had to set it up as an Automatic again I have no idea why, and even less idea how anyone could find that offensive.

No worries. i'm glad it's sorted and i apologise for being a bit strange from time to time... it's called "burnout syndrome"

Happens to us all! No worries

There is a setting within the BCU for "Instrument Panel". This had reverted to being a manual after installing the new binnacle. Your fix looked quite complicated at first but it actually took about 30 minutes plus a bit of time to remove and refit the block, but as you said the switch was fine. Thanks again!

unfortunately this is a nanocom glitch, it used to have a mind of it's own in relation with the BCU settings and alter them without request so make sure that everything is as it should not just the manual thing, for example if you dont see the glow plug light it means it's set to petrol, nanocom used to do that too

Don't let it put you off the Nanocom, they are well worth the money! :)

I didnt try to put off anybody cos i have it too and i love it untill a limit but it has some common glitches which should not be ignored IMO... that's why i have hawkeye too...it's not so smart but it's 100% reliable

The only special thing I know nanocom does well is second hand door fobs.

Otherwise, it has always served me proud

Cheers
