D3 Help needed!!

2007 disco 3 TDV6 auto
Hi guys can any one shed any light on where to go next?
so E illuminated on dash with following warning lights:
- Transmission fault limited gears
available
- parking brake fault (also amber warning light)
- HCC fault system unavailable
- Special functions OFF



, car takes over 5 seconds holding key in crank position to start, have to manually release out of park with release pull up,

seams to be very sluggish/no power on set off and only going up to 3rd gear, now it doesn’t always do it it’s intermittent there’s no real pattern I’ve noticed I can have it running all day brilliant and then go out to it and it does it! Or hardly use it and it does it!

So here’s what I’ve done up to now!

New Bosch S5 battery, all rear bulbs replaced, brake switch replaced(although different casing colour to original) ,checked wiring in foot wells checked and cleaned terminals and wiring and TCM no water damage, checked fuses etc. Fault codes in both parking brake and gearbox is U0101 lost communication with TCM

if I do a hard reset it runs perfectly for a while. Alternator is charging 14.3v, under load 13.6v.

When the fault isn’t happing the car runs and drives brilliant and no issues with auto box.

Also one last thing to note is when its faulting and you have the headlights on it will not start at all, turn them off and it starts eventually

Length of average journey covered in the car?

I have read the codes ^^^ u0101 lost communication with TCM in both hand brake system and gearbox system etc also journeys are from 5mins to over 1.5hours

That suggests an issue with the CAN. It's worth checking the CJB for corrosion, which can happen, and is where all the modules connect.

Hi guys eventually got this sorted, over 5 hours wire chasing I found some can bus wires going to the TCM (two splices with three wires going into each other) had been repaired badly before and either touching or touching body and causing a lot of issues! All sorted now thanks guys!

Rick whereabouts were the splices/damaged bits of wire on the car?
I ask as only today had lost comms to tcm.
