hello, thinking of treating my 300tdi disco to some insa turbo dakars as the grabber at2s have done 40000 over the last five years and are starting to look a bit worse for wear. just wondering if they are value for money or just cheap copies?

I've had Insa Sahara and they were hard wearing and good in the mud (not that I do much mud slingin) And my Insa turbos are very good too.:)

Same tread as the old bfg muds I had a set of insa sahara's and transferred em from the 90, when I sold it. to a disco and then to a 2nd disco when I sold the first one. probably did about 20k miles on em.

cheers for the info, what is the biggest size i could get on a standard suspension disco without anything rubbing? i have 30mm spacers on at the moment but can get rid of them if i need to to compensate for better traction etc.

i had saharas on a disco i use to have.they were crap,i once got stuck in what was basicaly not a very big muddy puddle and it they wudnt pull out at all

wouldnt bother, save your pennies for BFG or Coopers, I ve had a set on the defender i bought xmas time, thought; "great new mud tyres all round" been out 4 times since then; shredded one on the bastard lane, and found another one with serious chunks missing on the side wall this afternoon.
me, I'm saving up for some BFG KM2's

Cooper has better rubber compound, plus they use Kavalare belting on the side walls

Take it you mean kevlar ?

I did look at some coopers and will probably end up with a set of them at only £20 a tyre for a second hand set, local off road place sell off the spares dirt cheap once they've been on for a season and are missing a few side lugs
