Injector pump advice

So got a new pump, however as you can see in the photo the where the pin goes it’s half covered over.

Could someone confirm how I fit this back in? So I can refit the pin

Lol, yeah thanks for that, but I did try that but it doesn’t move by that little amount. What I’m trying to establish is do i have to take the screw out on the side to release it? Before fitting it

your turning against spring pressure fit the pump and pulley loosely then turn the nut to align the slot, fit pin

The screw in the side holds the keeper plate, from memory you have to remove the screw and turn the keeper plate and refit so the bolt no longer fits in the hole in the shaft inside.
Remove the keeper after you've got the pump installed and the 22mm nut is turned to locate the 9.5mm sprocket pin.
Like James says it's difficult to turn the pump unless it's clamped because of the powerful springs inside.
