Can anyone tell me why oil in the injector wiring loom causes the car to missfire? Is it the oil reaching the red scart plug and causing a short in the electrics,or does the oil actually get inside the wiring in the head and disrupt the injectors? I've ordered a new loom cause i've got seepage in the red plug.I've cleaned and degreased with solvent so there is now non in the plug or the ecu,but is still missing like mad,so can only assume that the oil disrupts the signal somewhere else. Also does the oil seep down the inside of the wires,if so how do you get it out without replacing all the ignition wiring loom.I've checked other threads which have proved really useful but can't get my head round why its still missing with the oil gone from the plugs etc.many thanks hope someone can shed some light.
