Hi guys.
Well i fired her up with no horrible noises etc and everything working as it should, to the best of my knowledge, but then noticed diesel around the injectors in gully.
My first thought was.. oh sh*t, i broke an injector when trying to get one out, which might still be the case
Then i mopped the diesel up and got mrs to fire her up looking with stressed eyes for the obvious and first thing i noticed was bubbles coming out of the no 2 injector nipple (thats the best way i can think of to describe it :p) follwed by diesel flow.
Pulled the nipple back out and compared to the one next to it and yep.. broke

so anyhow.. put a screw in and gently threaded the broken bit on and thankfully i got it out.

So.. how do i get another and what is it actually called??
Does anyone have the set sat in a box somewhere they might part with to help me out.
Obviously i can't do any more without the darned thing.

Cheers.

That's yer leak off pipework, had mine out today when changing the oil separator filter.

As expected, they have them on the bay. See item number 271050594042

Or will be available from dealers or local diesel specialist…

I snapped one off while changing my separator filter last weekend, called a pipe spill return comes as whole unit 4 inlet nipples and all pipework, cost me 25 quid from local LR parts centre.. Part number 8510322

Nice first post Dodgy but as it's a standard injector on a BMW engine I'd bet the local injection specialist has a boxfull under his bench. Couple of quid in the tea tin and . . . .

yeh, just need to find a specialist somewhere near me in the back and beyonds of pasty country

Well if you're that far from civilzation then you're not going to have easy access to a LR dealer
Anyway I thought that farm machinery ran on diesel, or are you still using four legged horsepower?

Lol cheers dogsbody, dodgy indeed.. Great tips like that can save a fortune, wish I'd joined sooner..

The book says 6.8 litre but it can be as low as 5.5 depending on how much you get out of the cooler.
