Yeah man very true, and if I get a roof lining I'd have to get side trims to go with. Both the roof lining and side trims are £600 with vat :eek: But I suppose they'll last years and tidy the inside of it up :)

I see what you're saying and they're very nice and would tidy it up very nice. Like my current build, It would finish it of nicely, The interior is tatty but I don't want to spend daft money.
But when it's 2 1/2 weeks wages I think I'd rather just carpet it :eek:

I have just upgraded the fron door speakers and the rear pillars to better quality ones, what I did add which has made a huge difference is a slimline al in 1 sub and amp that sits underneath my drivers seat.

Cost me £100 and made a miricle of a difference, its that good you cant actaully tell where that extra bass is coming from, normally with a boot install you can tell " subs in the boot" but with this it distributes the sound excellently, and it is crisp clear sound quality. The best mod I have done to the disco so far for sure.
 
Not finished my install yet, but so far, I've got my DAB/FM/CD head unit, std front speakers (pretty good actually), 12" sub with built in amp. I've got another amp & speaker set to install, just got to decide where).

I've got a Fl1 commercial, so fitted the sub directly behind the mesh bulkhead in the centre, with slave batteries either side. Still plenty of room for my gear in the back, the other speakers will be the last things I install for the interior.
 
I have no ice at the moment, when the sound proofing is finished it'll get a cb and a system that has dab FM mp3 and aux in from this tablet which will also need a mount somewhere.
 
Ive begun to install FatMat Xtreme (Cheaper Dynamat) so far done the tranny tunnel and most of the drivers footwell.

The noise difference is noticable, much quiter than before. Even my girlfriend said so!

I have also fitted some new rubber matting but ripped the ****t LR foam out and fitted my own closed cell so it doesnt trap waterA

That is my next job. How much FatMat have you used? My body is off the chassis at the moment, are there any bits that will be easier than when it is back together?
 
The plan was to do the lot when the body was off!! I expect the majority will be much easier with the body off...

I bought 150sq/ft so far hardly used any. For £145 cant really go wrong, any left over ill double up in especially loud places or sell it
 
I've got a fairly basic setup in mine- two front speakers under the dash (needed a spacer on the passenger side to clear the wiper motor) and two rear ones in the Land Rover speaker trim panels which replace the wiring covers at the back of the tub. They look a lot neater than anything I could make and also fit better with the rear seats.

I have a mid-90s Sony cassette radio mounted in the original slot. It's a bit of a tight fit as the original radio was a bit shorter, but fits well enough. I also have a 10-disc CD changer which is an unbelievably perfect fit in the cubby box. The changer works so much better in a car than a single-slot player as the CDs are kept out of the way without getting scratched. Rediscovering my old cassette tapes too :)
