Just fitted some Insua Traction Track tyres size 285/75 R16 on modular wheels to my 2004 Defender 90 TD5 Pick Up.

I assume that this will alter accelaration / top speed? Does anyone know by how much?

Also will the speedo read incorrectly now?

Thanks

Richard

i was gona do a ittle bit of sums to work out the speed inaccuracy if it had 235/75r16s originally it will be reading....... 9.9% out so if the speedo is reading 60mph you will be doing nearly 66mph

iv put 36" tyres on mi 90,n i ad t get mi mate wi is satnav t tell me wen i wa doin 30,40,50 n 60 so i cud paint som new numbers on me dail in the rite places.

Speedos usually overstate your speed so with the bigger tyres on it won't be as far out as you think as it will have been wrong even with the standard tyres on.

im with u on that one. 33's on me disco mean my speedo is reading about 31 wen satnav says 30

can feel a slight acceleration loss with them on
