I got a Sealy one from machine mart came with a few sockets as well all for around 50 quid ,, worked a treat had 4 settings and only used no 2 ..looks well built heavy polished ally body all in a nice Cary case

I bought a cheapo 25 quid silverline one for running nuts, its actually pretty good in a non nut stripping kind of way for small nuts

I normally avoid silver line stuff like the plague but this was at the right price at the right time and if it breaks ill return it.

I started on a low setting in the hope to avoid winding the stud off as well.. seems my non penetrating wd40 did the trick lol

Yes looks very similar and most likely the same .. came With extension bar and half dozen sockets and some lube also ..

Well it certainly did the job.. one thing I will say is make sure your compressor is big enough to power them.. mine is a reasonably large one with 11 cfm.. and this particular gun only needed around 5 cfm so. Worked well.

Got a 14 cfm and a 7.5 cfm in tandem here :)

One to keep an eye on is make sure your hoses and big enough , some of the bigger double hammer impacts need 10mm hoses from compressor to unit = spendy. I just have 8mm

well i finally got round to fitting the exhaust today..

after 2 weeks of soaking in wd40 and GT hit it with an impact gun and the nuts span straight off,, thankfully..
mind you took me rest of day taking off the rest and fitting the new system.

still fitted well,, only trouble i had was pushing on the new rubbers that support the exhaust.. i guess there is a nack to it,,

Easy way to fit the ex rubbers is to bend the little tangs on the end straightish then lube them and fit the rubber hanger, hammer tangs back sorted.

I'm pleased it worked for you hairball. You asked for opinions and I told you WD40 is not a penetrating fluid. At the end of the day if you ****ed on it, that would probably be better than nothing, the point is can buy much better ones cheaply off the shelf or make your own as I detailed. That's good advice for anyone which is why I posted it.

I ended up buying this thorite air tool set Thorite Diamond Performance 50 piece Air Tool Kit Part Number DT7843ATK | eBay

I went for it as it seemed to have the same specs for the impact driver as the Machine Mart one but also includes a full useful set of impact sockets, including the magic 27mm one for Landy wheelnuts. For the amount of kit you got, I thought it was very reasonable.

To be brutally honest Sp00k it was most likely more luck than judgment that it came undone ,, and yes if it hadn't shifted I would have gone the home brew mix you recommended..
