Imobilised !

Using the eBay ecu has removed the immobilising problem, so I don't have to keep popping the bonnet 3 times a day to get started but still have no alarm, key fob or central locking... what is the next step?
Assuming the old ecu was buggered and the new one works, why nothing else?

Would this be the same for a Disco 1 ?
Anyways.... it immobilised again today so clearly I have not fixed it :(

All D1s with a two button system will immobilise automaticlly when left, do you mean that you are unable to remobilise the engine when the fob is placed near the ignition switch and therefore unable to crank the engine.
My fobs no longer work, nor does the fob that came with the eBay ECU, I can only lock the doors with the key in the door, when I lock / unlock the drivers door no other door will look / unlock, the whole central locking system is inoperative.
Every now and then she won't start, the key symbol flashes on the dash and I have to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, reconnect and she'll start up and away I go....I just don't have working fobs, no flashing indicators or central locking, yet I did have all this last month !
It does actually make no sense, if it immobilisers itself, I would have expected not to be able to reset it just by removing a battery lead ...that should not happen...

Is it just that the central locking isn't working? you should not be able to remobilise the engine just by disconnecting and reconnecting the vehicle battery, the fob must also be present at the ignition switch.
Just try the battery thing and then with the fob removed from your keyring and away from the ignition key try and start.
When the key symbol flashes pressing the unlock button or placing the fob near the ignition switch should if working normally extinguish the lamp.
Again if working normally the alarm would sound on unlocking with the key so it looks like there is still problems with the alarm ecu..unfortunatlly.
